Tessa Virtue & Scott Moir # 47: Come What May...

I don't understand why they changed it in the first place. Was that because they've come across ''cunniliftus'' moniker somewhere?

I suspect they'd heard grapevine whispers that the Olympic judges wouldn't like it, and now they've discovered that the Olympic judges were going to ding their alternative version, have thought 'f*** it' and gone back to their original vision.

Maybe but I suspect it was the difference between the 2s and 3s in GOEs between GPF and Team event. The new lift in Team Event was not as smooth as the original.

Also whether intentionally or not, changing the lift for the TE got them a lot of buzz and press.

Ha, that's basically what I meant in slightly snarkier terms ;)

I have spent today watching the entire SD practice video and now the FD one. Maybe not really productive, but I had a great time :D.
As Tessa and Scott fans we are really lucky because the camera stayed on TS during the whole practice. It's practically 30 minutes each of pure Tessa and Scott time. There are so many cute moments between them. As a fan it's great to see how much fun they are having.

The link to the practice I can’t watch - says limit exceeded. Anyone else have that issue?
go to the video link and click "add to my drive" then find it in your drive, ri-click and hit "make a copy". it should make a copy of the file into your drive and you should be able to download/watch it then. you can download it stat or wait until it renders to watch :) it worked for me

I am so happy to hear they went back to the original lift! I didn't hate the new version but the original flowed much better (prob because they have been doing it for so long now) and I think it just fit the choreo better. Not really surprised about their draw....they never get good draws so I've accepted that a long time ago. LOL Has anyone been able to watch the practice rhumba pattern and see if they fixed their KP's that they lost out on in the TE? Just curious if any techies had any input on this. I'm already nervous....I don't know how I'm going to survive this weekend. Thankfully it's a stat holiday on Monday in my city so at least I can freak out quietly on Sunday night without having to work on Monday.

Great B2Ten article. Wish I had a B2Ten in my life :)

DFJ I found the link, thanks for the heads up.

The Performance of Intimacy : Why the world can't stop watching Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir

You can tell this is a more recent fan, because she mentions unwavering support through surgery.... Long-term fans know that the first surgery was an especially difficult moment in their relationship because they didn't talk during her first recovery period, which caused a lot of hurt, but made them better communicators in the long run, and probably strengthened their bond. It's cool to see how inspired the author was that she wrote this in such a short time.

Looks like the Chinese judge and the American judge and the Japanese judge all scored them low on transitions and skating skills. I'd like to know what they're lacking in skating skills since everyone in skating has touted their skating skills for years????

Looks like Turkey is still for sale

I've been waiting for the link to be processed and it already says too many views and downloads.

This is the only drawback to having V/M's popularity.....
I had the same problem with the first link but the trick with saving it in your own drive, creating a copy and then download that, really worked for me. Maybe it will work for you, too.
