Tessa Virtue & Scott Moir # 47: Come What May...

I thought I'd be happy just with the fact that they were so happy to be back, but now watching this absolute masterclass in skating technique I feel myself getting more and more irritated by the potential impending silver. I need to step back :P Hope they can tear it up tomorrow in the SD, get the ball rolling.

I watched the video and they look SO good!! The speed and the flow has improved so much and they look so light on their skates. Like all the little choreographic lits is so fluid and they make it look like Tessa weighs nothing. I can’t believe they did all this in 2 months. I’m ready to make sacrifices to the skate gods for 4 clean skates from them. LOL

Thanks everyone for the vids and pics. Fabulous. They are just, SINGULAR. Every step, every movement, all of the nuances and the emotion. This FD has evolved into my favourite.

Well, tonight is the night (here in Canada) friends, COME WHAT MAY. The anticipation is almost too much for me, lol. Let's do this!

I am honestly so nervous I don’t know what to do with myself. In Sochi I watched on my laptop and for Vancouver I watched on my TV so i’m watching all their events on on my tv again. This is the level non sensical logic I’ve stooped to for them.

^ unfortunately I don’t always get to see and know all the ice dance teams due to crap tv coverage and sometimes bad streams.
I thought they were the Korean team, but wasn’t certain

That's ok darlin'. That is EXACTLY what these threads are for :) Pretty cool pic.

I'm scared because they look sooo amazing in the practice vids and pictures that I'm getting my hopes up. I don't know how I'll be able to watch them. :drama:
My wish is that they will be able to come out of the team event as the clear favorites and make sure the judges won't be able to deny them.

Maybe I'm the minority but I wished that they didn't take away that tiny throw move at Roxanne and that unison expression/movement (the music section where the lyrics comes "never knew I could feel like this...") at at Nationals. I truly felt that the one presented at Nationals was already Olympic ready. Anyways, what do I know, right? :p But I'm so glad the entry to modified lift is still the same and nervous-excited to see their "new" FD (and judges' scores) in Team event. Definitely all the best wishes for 4 clean (and beautiful) skates from them! :cheer2:

love this comment on their nationals youtube video:

My wife loves to watch this figure skating, but I usually don't. I watch sometimes and I'm amazed at how skilled all the skaters are. But it never moves me, and never moves my heart. Until now. This couple moves my heart. I'm at a loss for words. To watch them is life-changing.

They look so FIT and their synchronicity is amazing. There is so much flow out of all movements. And I think the transition to the second piece of music is so much more seamless.

I enjoyed watching the Arkells ad. Nice to see Scott playing the straight man to Tessa’s funny person (face? Haha) for once.

Also? ....The VISA ads. Can I say I enjoy seeing even though they are selling something? I love seeing that twist in the air and then hearing Morgan Freeman’s voiceover. Perfect pairing :)

How is that possible thoguh when Papadakis & Cizeron arent skating the team event? It would make it impossible to gain clear favorite status by the team event alone no matter how well they skate.

True, but who knows? maybe if they broke their WR.

Are the judges at these practices like they are at the Worlds? If so, it's great that they get to see this program practiced so well. I find that the black outfits show their beautiful lines, the transitions and steps really well, so hopefully that will have an impact on them?

I just meant that right now they are definitely behind PC in the judges' eyes, but with PC not skating and Tessa and Scott hopefully rocking the team event they could show that they are at their peak and the ones to beat.

Just watched their practise video again and it's even better the second time around. Despite not liking the music, I haven't been this excited about a FD from them since Carmen. Sending positive vibes to all the skaters for tonight...I hope it's a great competition!
