Tammy Gambill moving to C. Springs World Arena

In a Kori TSL interview, it was said before Kori moving to CO she intended to coach at the World Area but the coaches there thought she was sneaky
Any particular reason they think she's sneaky? That just seem so random to me.

I think that at one point (2014? 2015?) a few World Arena students left and went to work with Kori. So maybe that’s where the allegations of sneakiness came in. I don’t think they related to the fact that they refused to let her work at the World Arena when she moved in 2013 - in the interview, Dave asked Kori why she wasn’t allowed to teach there and she said could confirm that she hadn’t been allowed to teach there but didn’t know why.

Dave then told her that he’d heard certain male teachers hadn’t wanted her to teach there. He also told her that in doing research for the interview (which took place after Jason won Nats in 2015) students of some World Arena teachers had told him Kori was sneaky - but when he asked what they meant, they wouldn’t elaborate. Kori kind of made a joke out of it at first, said it was the first time she’d heard it, and then went on to say seriously that until she moved to Colorado Springs she’d only ever had kids who had been with her from the time they were little until they went off to college.

She said that about six months later, after Jason made the Olympic Team, someone from the World Arena called and asked if she wanted to teach there “through the Olympics.” She said, “and what after that?” When they said they couldn’t promise her anything, she thanked them and said she would stay in Monument.

It’s actually a very good interview.

Kori Ade is still coaching in Monument, AFAIK. Jordan Moeller mentioned her (and vice versa) in his April 2018 article: http://figureskatersonline.com/news...-7th-annual-one-skate-at-a-time-benefit-show/

Yes, she is. The program appears to be thriving. Doug and Lara Ladret also coach there full time, as do several other coaches. Ryan Jahnke is there regularly but I think he also coaches elsewhere. They have a lot of developmental skaters right now. As far as I know, Jordan and Laurine Lecavalier are also still training with her. I guess we’ll find out about Jason in the near future, but my guess is he’s gone.

Gambill's international students include Yaroslav Paniot (UKR) and Yi Christy Leung (HKG).

Christy Leung had just moved to Riverside mid season to train with Gambill. Considering Christy's family seems to be okay with the 100K annual living/training expenses (as quoted in a recent interview from her mother), I'm assuming she will follow? (Added note to support this: Rohene Ward choreographed Christy's short program for next season).

Yaroslav Paniot (UKR) also has relocated to Colorado Springs with Gambill.

Although I would agree that given Tom Z.'s propensity, at least from what I have read in print, to hog the spotlight, he might not be the best collaborator. It will be interesting to see how he and Tammy handle Vincent when they are actually in the same rink:lol:[/QUOTE]
Oh boy, more drama!
