SuperShuttle Going Out of Business

NOOO!!!!!! I use Supershuttle all the time. Never used Lyft and used Uber only 2-3 times. During my visit to Boston I found that Uber was more expensive than Taxi and they did not pick me up where I was (they wanted me to walk to a certain point to be picked up). I stopped using Uber after that. Supershuttle is much cheaper and more convenient.

Please don't let this happen!

ETA- They seem to be shutting down at some airports but it could be everywhere- after 12/31.

I was about to make reservations on Supershuttle for Las Vegas in January.

I hate Uber and Lyft.

I saw that on the news and was a bit surprised. I always try to use SuperShuttle if I can. I do find that sometimes it's hard to figure out if they serve the airport I'm going to and what my options are. But I feel safer in a SuperShuttle than in Lyft and I assume it would be cheaper since they cram more passengers in there.

Not only that, but if there are more than one passengers in Supershuttle, they charge full fare for the first passenger and only $5 each for each additional passenger from the same location. At least here in Phoenix.

Supershuttle is not available at some airports but usually those airports have other shuttle services.

I am very surprised that Uber and Lyft are listed as reasons for the demise of Supershuttle. I did a test run with Uber when I first tried my App. It cost me a lot, which surprised me. After my Boston experience I completely avoided Uber. I feel much safer in Supershuttle than i would in Uber, particularly at night and/or in unfamiliar places.

I stopped using Super Shuttle after the second time they didn't show up to pick me up at the appointed time. The last time I flew, I booked a local taxi to pick me up. It cost about $10 more than Super Shuttle but was worth it.

Super Shuttle did refund my fare and paid the parking fee I incurred when I had to drive to the airport--it was too late to find an Uber, Lyft, or taxi if I wanted to make my flight--but they never explained why the driver didn't show up, nor did they apologize. I think they didn't have other passengers in my area and just decided not to send anybody to pick me up. They could have at least notified me, though, so I could have made other arrangements instead of scrambling around at the last minute.

I'm not surprised they are going out of business after reading the Yelp reviews in my area.

May be it depends on the area. They have been great in the Phoenix metro area. There is no other shuttle to the airport here. We will be in deep trouble. I never cared for Uber. Too expensive.

Too bad about Super Shuttle. I just used their service for the first time at Skate America and found it pretty convenient and affordable. Oh well ....

I love the convenience of Uber but feel nervous about using it after this  :

That is why I only use Lyft when I'm on vacation and with people. As in, there are always two of us in the car. I don't use it at home and I don't use it when alone.

I do have to say that my experience with Lyft varies. It's similar to taxis in that way. Sometimes the driver is annoying or the car isn't the cleanest and other times it's a wonderful experience and everything in between. The best part of Lyft is how easy it is to pay. Taxis sometimes don't take credit cards and I rarely carry cash these days.

I have used Lyft and Uber a number of times. I text a friend when I am getting into the car and then when I am getting out, so someone is keeping track of me. I have not felt unsafe at all.
