Well, that's something.

Haven't seen the performance yet, but I checked the protocols. I saw even a botched lift, so yeah, it looks like nothing worked today. Oh well, better next time. Patience and time, that's what they need. I still don't understand why they changed the SP though. But I hope they will keep the LP for next season as well. They will most probably not go to Euros and Worlds, and this is a beautiful program when skated clean and it deserves to be seen at its full potential.

It was a rough skate, but I agree that they need to keep this program for another season! It would be a crime to only see it twice in competition, especially since this performance was so rough.

But is it just me or does Ksenia seem so much happier/more relaxed? She would’ve been so upset if this had happened a few years ago. Idk what caused the change but I like it.

There is no reason to be upset. I mean, I'm sure both of them feel disappointed, it's only natural. One always want to make a good first impression, and they've worked hard. But it's just the beginning, there is plenty of time and other occasions to show themselves. Andrei also has less experience than her in big competitions. Sp, she needs to be the rock right now.

Exactly. She seems to be taking the lead and guiding him through the competitions a bit. He’s not used to all the media and the huge reactions from the crowd, so I think he simply choked. She looked more solid than she did at competitions in her last season with Fedor, so hopefully Andrei can follow. I like how happy they seem together.

However, I do really wish for a bit more decoration on the unitard! The back is gorgeous, but the front could use some more sparkle.
