Stolbova and Klimov Thread

No KS didn't beat SH in China on the SP. They were 2nd after the SP but they had high scores both in China and Russia after the SP. So having both 1st and 2nd places the tiebreaker is SP scores which puts SH behind KS.
KS SP: 72.45 COC + 71.70 COR = 144,15
SH SP: 68.28 SA +74.40 COC=142,68
Yes, I remembered it wrong. Thank you for the correction.

Just to add some more things, thanks to the translation of Ilaria on FB group.

After SA they have worked a lot on the programs and changed some small things. Learning the quad is not easy. Ksenia was injured while training it and sometimes it was hard for her even to walk after the falls, so and they had to stop training but they continue to work on it and when Mozer thinks they are ready, and they would feel so, they will present it in competition. There is the 3A left to try but at the moment they are not taking it into consideration. Zabjako&Enbert have tried the 3A in summer but then she got injured and not they are doing the 2A. In Italy they worked with Giuseppe Arena and other specialists, among whom the champions of roller skating Patrick Venerucci e Cristina Pelli and they are happy with the work done.
He studies to become a sports manager and he is in the second year. Lately he has become passionate about classic clothing (jacket etc.). The car that was given to them in Sochi it's too big and he finds it uncomfortable so he doesn't use it. He uses a small Mercedes. He watches FS competition only when skaters of their group compete for the rest he doesn't like watching FS competitions. He has enough of that. Favorite book is Lermontov's A Hero Of Our Time.

The most important thing he said is that he is single. :biggrinbo
Here is a summary. :swoon:

What?? Since when? I thought we were a happy couple?? :wuzrobbed:wuzrobbed (Hahahaha!) Never have I wished for subtitles more. Would love to understand the back and forth a little better. (But thanks for the links to the translations!) I have to say he seems to be very well spoken and comfortable in an interview setting (and an hour long one with no commercial breaks at that!) Pretty impressive. I've known quite a few athletes in the U.S. from other sports that can barely stumble through a quick 15 minute interview without tons of "uhhh's and ummm's". It's one of my pet peeves and I wish some of their teams/organizations would give them media training. So молодец to him!!
FWIW, Can't remember when I've ever seen such an extended interview with just half of a pairs team. Not making any assumptions or inferences. Just an observation....

I would say of any pairs skater---male or female---I find her riveting. I don't know why but somehow she commands my attention throughout any program she attempts. That is a great quality for performance. I wish both of them well.

The same here. I find her gorgeous and I have to say I love her new look now much more than with the long hair. :swoon:

Interesting that K-Stolb is the one making most of the errors this season. I still love her fierceness more than life, but I don't know what to make of that. Fedor definitely doesn't bring the performance like she does, but he has been pretty perfect tech-wise all season (at least as far as I can see). Maybe she scared the mistakes out of him last year? Either way, I'm SOOOO happy to see their progression this year. I'll take some sub-par performances early in the season if these are the programs they will bring later on. They are my absolute favorites, can't wait to see the LP tomorrow.

And PS, whoever designs/makes their costumes should be given a HUGE raise. They look fabulous this season. I find my mind wandering sometimes and debating whether it would be ok to wear versions of any of her recent her dresses to events... They are THAT beautiful. And naturally, Fedor looks hot in anything. (Even bigger raise to whoever told him to leave a few buttons undone!!!)

She's been the one with the injury and having to change different pair of boots. I think that's the main reason. She did great saving that jump though. They are getting back.

They were just flying over the ice and had total command with the music/performance, I really hope they win this! :cheer2:

They really have no equals when it comes to SS, IMO. Their edge work, generation of speed is just awesome. That's why I'm so mad when other Pairs are even compared with these two in that field, let alone getting higher marks. It's sooo ridiculous.
I really hope they can hold their nerves, going last in the Free, and skate clean. The LP wasn't ready yet in CoR and it does need more time but I hope they can improve the performance and scoring with each outing, and medal here.

Me too. She's mesmerizing. And I LOOOOOOVE that she holds her jump landings. Gorgeous.

they arent rusty for sure

I think the people proclaiming they're done and Scimeca / Kneirm are ahead of them arent a done deal
well not for now at least :D until they even land their jumps

I'm thrilled for them, although I've never seen so many backhanded compliments before, lol (in response to their win, mostly at the other forum...I had to quit reading before my eyes rolled out of my head). The program was flawless & totally captivating to me. Their happiness is my happiness!

I was one of those who was highly critical of their chose to skip worlds last year and thought it was a big mistake. However in saying that I also noted the proof whether their plan was the right one would be in the results of the season. Apart from a nightmarish Skate America, the proof has been positive so far and it looks like they might have made the right choice all along.

TAT sounds in awe. :biggrinbo

She mentioned Alla Kapranova here. Can somebody tell me if she is giving her credits for the choreo? I always thought that woman is a gem and I still can't believe this is all Morozov's doing. :p
