Yeah the first part was off, whether due to their timing or choreography. It stuck out like a sore thumb on the pattern. I heard a section later on that would work better. Think there might even be a better song choice in the show.

The second half was really good the SBS step was brilliantly choreographed to the music.

However I have to say that I think they might be in trouble this quad hanging on to 3rd, nationally.

I was gutted for them on Saturday, but proud of them for finishing the program well despite the fall. Here's hoping for better things for them this weekend!

I'm glad they're competing so much pre-GP. It'll give them a lot of mileage on the programs and they'll be able to train with feedback from the judges each time.

Their first Grand Prix starts tomorrow.

They had like four competitions in the preseason and then went over a month before competing again, so it feels like they've been gone a while.

Well, they didn't get their levels today, but the crowd was into it. And I was into it. There is just something there that I really like. They have heart and talent and they're entertainers. But they're having such an up and down season (and struggling so much with that pattern!) that it seems like something's wrong somewhere -- I don't know what. I hope they figure it out, because I want to see them develop as I think they can.

I hope Carolane goes back to the other dress. It was so much prettier, and the paler pink suited her much better.

I'm glad they got a national medal.

I've not been one of the people trying to hurry them out of Gadbois, but at this point I'm coming around to the position that they have to do something different if they want to continue forward. Lajoie & Lagha are only going to become more powerful in the years ahead.

Listening to their pre-FD interviews (and some of their others), I was worried that they haven't got a good strategy figured out. It was like they were simultaneously aware of problems with cleanliness and determined to throw caution about cleanliness to the winds. That's not a workable strategy. Their speed and attack are assets, but they've GOT to work on cleanliness and precision to get those levels back up and stop making mistakes.

They did sound like they were more aware of this after the free. But a coaching change might be what they need to get them there. I hope they give it some serious thought. They knew they needed a silver here, and I've never seen them look so disappointed and regretful in a K&C. So maybe they'll start doing the soul searching they need to do.

If they hope to knock off L and L, they’ll need to separate themselves stylistically .
I love IAM, but this team seemed lost amongst all the other teams.
They seem to me more quirky and distinct then the usual IAM material.
And I personally think their material wasn’t great with IAM.

I think, it is ultimately a good choice, though Carole-Anne has always reminded me of Marie-France and her style of skating. That said, they have not progressed the way I expected them to. They really might profit from more exclusive attention. I wish them good luck!
