Sofja Stepcenko mental health struggle & gofundme

Latvian Sofja Stepcenko is running gofundme campaign to help normalize her life after extremely tough mental health challenges linked to her past coaches.
I've personally met Sofja last week in Switzerland, and so far it's the most extreme case of post-Soviet coaching trauma I’ve witnessed in my life (and I've seen a lot with Ukrainian skaters in the last 20 years). I don't think the term "mental health challenges" adequately describes what she had gone through.
There will be a large interview with Sofja out soon.
Consider helping her out in this tough period of her life. Nobody deserves to go through the hell she went through just because they chosen to be a figure skater.

Thanks for sharing, it seems like always the same story. I wish I had confidence that someone will come out of the investigation in Latvia, but I guess as usual it won’t, because it will probably be run by the president of the Latvian federation who decides nothing happens

The small tidbit about Amber Glenn is sweet though, she seems to be such a supportive person!

There was so much gushing by Barton and Hanretty at this past weekend's JGP in Riga about the organization and how supportive Olga Kolvakova is, shown in multiple KnC's for skaters whose coaches weren't there.
