Luka Berulava is aging out, though it seems to me that he's done so several times already. 🤷‍♂️
Actually, no, he has one more season. His birthday is Nov 27, 2002, so he's only 22 and the upper age limit is 23 for pairs men.

Vouillamoz/Bouvart only have this one season of junior eligibility though. Holichenko/Darenskiy also age out.

I was just mulling this over -- junior dance has had some great seasons lately, but with all these teams moving up, we're going to have a much less packed field. On the plus side, young teams trying to break through like Mouaden/Bigot and Ilin/Cain will find themselves with a little more breathing room (assuming no splits or retirements!).

I think junior dance will be fine. Aboian/Veselukhin have several more years in juniors before she's old enough to move up, and there are always new teams that form who come from seemingly nowhere & make a big splash.

I know, it'll still be a good field. Just not quite as crowded a field as it was.
But that's not how I see it. We thought the field would clear out some two years ago when the Mrazeks, LimQuan, BekHern and BashBeau moved up. Everyone expected GrimmSkiy to coast, but we wound up with NesMark really making a move, along with Tkachenko/Kiliakov rapidly improving and surpassing GrimmSkiy, and TaliLafor came out of nowhere in the fall to surpass FradForn by season's end.

Every season in juniors, it feels like we think we have an idea of who will contend and we're surprised during the JGP season by what actually transpires, and Jr Worlds can sometimes have some unexpected results based on the JGP season which is, by then, 5 months in the rearview mirror.

I think that what made this group different was that some skaters were expected to age out, and they didn't have to with the age change and stayed.
