Well, we are here at last! The week of the OQE is upon us!

There are 4 dance spots up for grabs in Beijing. Which 4 teams will earn spots for their countries? Quite a few of the teams competing have at least one international competition this season under the belts, so I'm including those scores.

ARM - Dobroserdova/Pellegrini
AUS - Harris/Chan - 181.68 - Bolero Cup
AZE - Ritter/Brykalov - 127.04 - Lake Placid IDI
CHN - Wang/Liu - only competed domestically & wildly overscored per reports
CYP - Kudryavtseva/Karankevich
ESP - Val/Kazimov - 176.67 - Int'l ID Dordrecht
GEO - Kazakova/Kasinskij - 141.63 - CS Lombardia Trophy
HUN - Ignateva/Szemko - 159.23 - CS Lombardia Trophy
IRL - Soucisse/Firus - 160.08 - Int'l ID Dordrecht
ISR - Ichilov/Nosovitskiy - 158.04 - Lake Placid IDI
ITA - Paolina/Tuba
JPN - Yoshida/Morita - 161.06 - CS Kinoshita Group Cup
KAZ - Nauryzova/Datiev - 137.97 - Int'l ID Dordrecht
LTU - Reed/Ambrulevicius - 197.50 - Bolero Cup
MEX - Stanley/Urano - 121.27 - Int'l ID Dordrecht & 114.05 - Lake Placid IDI
NED - Verhaegh/Van Geffen - 136.38 - Int'l ID Dordrecht
POL - Dovhal/Kulesza
SWE - Reitan/Majorov
UKR - Pinchuk/Pogorielov - 135.90 - CS Lombardia

Mark and Ted commenting as they watch the score drop and drop and drop was pretty telling
Madness. They must take us for complete idiots. They sent the Chinese Team to their third Olympics and prevented the Swedish from going to their first Olympics. That is a whole lotta messed up.

Congratulations to @Lilia A - she was the only person to correctly guess the 4 Olympic qualifying teams - Reed/Ambrulevicius, Harris/Chan, Val/Kazimov and Wang/Liu!
I was rooting for the Swedes or the Japanese to take the 4th spot, but I had a feeling politiks would help a certain team I'd rather not mention. Congrats to the all teams though.

It's been a nightmare watching that competition, as it unfolded ...
The manipulation, and ISU's tolerance or even endorsement of it ... simply unbearable.
I'm not sure if anyone else thinks the same way, but the Hungarians and Japanese should all have been way above the Chinese - the Hungarian for their passionate and interesting programme, and the Japanese for their great basics.
As for the Swedes, they should have been on the podium ... and the sad thing is, this may just be one of those things ppl will try to cover / to forget, all whilst two young people's Olympic dream gets destroyed.
