I absolutely adore the fact that the article above doesn't even acknowledge that Jonathan's gay -- the first openly gay man to receive the award, in fact. It's not part of the narrative at all, other than a brief mention that his first crush was a guy. I feel like that's kind of a seismic change -- one that's long overdue.
