MOSCOW, May 21. /TASS/. Figure skaters Ekaterina Geinish and Dmitry Chigirev, performing in pairs, plan to represent Uzbekistan starting next season and have submitted documents for the transfer. A source reported this to TASS.
“Geinish and Chigirev are preparing to compete for Uzbekistan starting next season, documents for the transfer have been submitted,” the source said.
The skaters paired up in 2022; they are medalists of the Moscow Championship, winners of the Moscow Cup stage, and also winners of the Panin-Kolomenkin Memorial.
He is Evgenia Medvedva's boyfriend
Dario had competed domestically during the 2022-23 season and then asked for a release in May 2023. Morozov and Samoldelkina have not competed at all this past season (well Morozov/Eremenko competed the RD at one minor event last September and then WD before the FD). That seems to be the line in the sand the Russian fed is drawing with skaters who are seeking releases.Dario Cirisano is probably all... WTF?!
How was his situation any different than Annabelle's?
You mean Annabelle Morozov and Igor Eremenko, who teamed up sometime in the summer of 2023 so they have no ISU bio, unlike Morozov/Bagin.(well [his name has since been corrected] competed the RD at one minor event last September and then WD before the FD).
Yes, here's the link to Dario Cirisano's wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dario_CirisanoDario had competed domestically during the 2022-23 season and then asked for a release in May 2023.

MatchTV.ru's Maxim Khorenkov originally reported on May 29 that:Today, May 29, it became known that two more Russian skaters changed their sports citizenship. 16-year-old Heinrich Hartung and 14-year-old Ulyana Tashkinova received an exemption from the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) and plan to continue their careers under the German flag. Match TV reported this.
Let us note that Tashkinova trains under the guidance of Lyudmila Kulikova, and Hartung trains under the guidance of Victoria Butsaeva at the Sokolniki Sports School.
Both athletes compete in singles skating. Genrikh took fifth place at the 2022 Moscow Championship.
From MatchTV.ru (May 30): https://matchtv.ru/figure-skating/m...ali_reshenije_smenit_sportivnoje_grazhdanstvo16-year-old Hartung competes in single skating and took fifth place at the 2022 Moscow Championships.
14-year-old Tashkinova also performs in single skating and trained at the Sokolniki Sports School.
ETA another article by Khorenkov today: https://matchtv.ru/figure-skating/m...Kanadu_i_uzhe_poluchila_otkreplenije_ot_FFKKRAs Match TV learned, Russian figure skaters Oleg Muratov and Anatoly Belovodchenko received exemptions from the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR), both plan to continue their careers under the flag of Poland.
Muratov performs in ice dancing; together with Sofia Kachushkina, he took tenth place at the 2022 Russian Championship and fourth place at the 2022 Moscow Championship. The athlete was born in Kharkiv and has been competing for Russia since 2020. The 21-year-old skater trained under the guidance of Alexander Zhulin and Alexander Sitnikov.
Belovodchenko also performs in ice dancing; the 24-year-old athlete became a medalist and winner of the Russian Cup stages.
Earlier, Match TV learned that Russians Heinrich Hartung and Ulyana Tashkinova also received an exemption from the FFKKR and plan to continue their careers under the German flag.
As Match TV learned, Russian single skater Victoria Barakhtina is working to obtain an exemption from the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR) and plans to continue her career under the Canadian flag.
Victoria's mother Elizaveta Barakhtina confirmed this information to Match TV.
— Yes, Victoria would like to compete for Canada. But we have not yet received the dismissal; we were not told the exact reason,” Elizaveta Barakhtina told Match TV.
Last season, the 13-year-old figure skater took fourth place in the Elena Tchaikovskaya Prize tournament, and 13th place in the Moscow Senior Championships. Victoria Barakhtina trains under the guidance of coach Elena Zhgun.
There is no chance for her to get to Olympics with Chen in USJust my thought, but she and Eremenko "broke up" because she can be eligible for the Olympics by skating with Chen and his getting US citizenship in two years wouldn't happen. He has no intention of returning to Russia at the present or asking for a release which sounds like he's not planning to skate with anyone for the near future. Best of luck to Annabelle. I've always had a soft spot for her.
Not in 2026 but 2030 or even 2034 is possible. There is no chance for her to get to Olympics with Chen in US
Why do you say that? There is no chance for her to get to Olympics with Chen in US
I think it's just because us ice dance is so deep and there are a lot of teams that probably have more momentum (and I'd venture to say better skating) than they wouldWhy do you say that?
Hard to say since she hasn't skated competitively in nearly 18 months. I'd guess she'll be similar to Shaidorov - dark horse GP medal threat, possibly top 5 at 4CCs, probably good enough for either the last or 2nd to last group at Worlds - though she won't be on the GP this season since all her WS points from 2021-22 will be dropped at the end of this season. How competitive is Samodelkina expected to be internationally? Is she expected to podium at every event or is she more middle of the pack?
Someone called Sofia Titova has obtained her release from the Russian federation to skate for Armenia.
Someday he will repeat his European championship LP (skate wise). I wait patiently. Such elegance---so little stamina.Aliev's LP is `Onegin' choreographed by Nikita Mikhailov
Have no idea, but most of the skaters who got their releases are unknown juniors, under any other circumstances no one would even write about them. What is Barakhtina's connection to Canada?
Her children should be called "AM" and "FM".Elena Radionova became a mother
Not with Chen in US. Where high competition of very talented teamsWhy do you say that?
