She had guts. I never thought the Russian girls had "artistry", so I looked forward to Trusova simply to see her going all-out. I'd never rewatch her performances, but it was nice in terms of skating being a competitive sport.

And it was kind of ridiculous to see people saying she never had anything but jumps or whatever, or she never improved.
I have become disenchanted with both her personality and skating. She gives off spoiled entitled brat vibes. When she skated with ET, she had a certain polish, but as she's gotten older, she's lost my interest.

ETA Now Kunitsa is saying they're having personal issues and not certain they'll compete. Maybe they should go the Stolbova/Klimov route and skate hating each other. It worked for them today.
Please watch the actual interview before quoting. Kunitsa didn't say anything, it was Alena who answered questions. She said "issues" which referred to their technical elements. It had nothing to do with their personal life.

A nice interview with Alexandra Trusova Ignatova. I hope her comeback works for her. I was never her biggest fan but it is good to see her back. I admire her coming back after everything she’s been through. She seems content with life and all that has happened.

Stunning FS from Boi/Koz this season. Innovative and difficult lifts, level 4 twist and their SBS jumps and throws were perfect at the test skate. I've never seen a pair team this polished this early.

And, of course Mis/Gal respond with hold my beer and skated brilliantly. I personally prefer B/K this season, but that's just preference.

The most improved award goes to Kosto and her hubby. She's stunning and they have made huge progress in their pair elements over the summer. It's really quite remarkable how much they've improved.

Couldn't find others on Youtube but here is the video of Kosto/Kunitsa

Channel 1 and RFSF introduced new competition this season - an "open ice" event Baikal lake sometime in March, but no details yet

Have no idea, but most of the skaters who got their releases are unknown juniors, under any other circumstances no one would even write about them.
Many Russian families have emigrated to Europe/Canada/US in last two years, so I am not surprised we are getting these releases now. They had time to settle down and solve bureaucracy issues, etc. It’s not at unusual situation.

For example, Anna Rumak (from junior ice dance team Rumak/Goncharov who split recently) has also said that her father and brother are living in another country, but her mother stayed in Moscow with Anna because she was in the national team and competing. Now she is thinking of quitting and moving away.
And now it seems that Anna Rumak has teamed you with Antonin Emo to represent France. They are in the entries lists for Trophee du Mont Blanc in November (in juniors), but she doesn’t have a release yet.

Frolova was excellent but Sinitsina fell on her combo, albeit the program was very good otherwise.
Semenenko's Paul Atreides was eaten by the sandworm, but some interesting new to seniors did very well.
Mukhortova/Evgeniev skated very well. Much improvement on their part.

Impressive win by Mark K and there's a new kid to watch Ugozhaev. Nerves got to him in the FS, but he's had really good results earlier in the local comps. This is his first year as a senior.
Frolova wins the women's comp with a very nice skate.

Frolova has truly developed into a lovely skater I would say she is the one who truly benefited from the ban. With no international events, the increased age limit, and Tutberidze's attention shifting from producing yet another prodigy, skaters like Anna have had the opportunity to develop, perform on big national stages, and gradually get the support of both the federation and fans.

Yes, Petrosian and Akatieva may have quads on their better days, but blah, skating-wise Anna is probably the only Russian lady who can add to and complement current international top skaters.

Akatieva and Adelia are also good. No need to be dismissive of them due to their coach. I also appreciate Sinitsyna. They would all benefit from international exposure.

How long will Russian skaters still be banned?
Until Ukraine gives isu permission to allow them back. If Ukraine opposes it and boycotts that means no Americans or Canadians or Japanese. or South Koreans. Isu will be happy with just Russians and Chinese?

Sofia Diana Cousins & partner have a Charlie Chaplin program. The way I  when I heard the music. The music cuts are different than her mom's though, since this one has a hip hop dance break in it.

Excellent skates by Lutfullin, Dikidzhe and Petrosin today and for those suffering pair skating dismay, find a YouTube of Boi/Koz kill Bill SP. I'll admit Lutfullin is a personal favorite, but his program was excellent today. And Vetlugin seems to have found his happy place with Rukvitsin and that's a good thing. He's a joy to watch when he's not stressed.
