We all know Argentina will win but still good luck Australia!
I’m rooting for the underdogs - there’s been some interesting results this tournament. Which just as I type this, the stats show the Aussies with 19% possession….

Being American, obviously I was rooting for the US, but the whole Netherlands team had much better foot skills, they are a great team. We will see what happens going forward.

Mbappe now has seven WC goals before the age of 24. He beats the great Pelé!

BTW Lilian Thuram’s son Marcus is on that field representing France! I can’t imagine how proud he must be of his son!

I haven't been following so closely since my sons are grown and stopped playing youth soccer, and I did not realize Giroud had so many international goals! My older son especially loved Arsenal, and Henry was his favorite player. Giroud did very well to fill Henry's shoes for club, but it seemed like there were always bigger stars for France. I would have totally picked Zidane for most France goals, but I guess he's not even in the top few.
Mbappe!!! France 3-0!
And Mbappe is my younger son's favorite player (partly because his name sounds awesome, but also because of his play). We were fortunate to see France live in the quarterfinals of the 2014 World Cup, which they lost to eventual champions Germany, but Giroud barely played and Mbappe wasn't on the team yet.

England over Senegal 3-0. Tough luck for Senegal because they were without one of their star players Sadio Mane. Now England will face France in the next round.

Congrats to Croatia but I was rooting for Japan. Now South Korea is already down 2-0 so I guess this year’s winner will again come from Europe or South America.

Brazil 3-0 and it isn’t even halftime. This has now become slaughter of the innocents… LOL
