Can we unpin the 2025 ISU Championship Minimum CTES & Multiple Entries thread and pin the new one for 2026?

Hi, is there a way in the settings to make it so that threads started by ignored members do not disappear for the person who has them on ignore? This is a huge issue since certain users rush to start every competition and seasonal thread, thereby making themselves unblockable.

I put a watch on those threads and then get a notice every time I come to the site that there is something to look at.

Though I do admit that there are 1 or 2 posters that I put on ignore during the off session and take them off during the season. But those are mostly just people that annoy me, not the ones that make my blood boil.

Unfortunately not.

I find the question strange - wouldn't you be able to see the posts anyway? I just press unignore if I have someone on ignore at the end of the board, and go read the thread...

Maybe some here use What's New more than I do.

No, you won't see the topics at all. So if it's say, the official olympics thread someone you have on ignore has posted, you won't be able to see the official thread or any posts in it.

You won't be able to see the OP and their threads when you first enter the board, but if you press the 'show ignored content' down at the bottom right corner of the board, then the threads will pop back up, and you can enter them. OP and their posts remain ignored once you enter the thread.

I just tested it with this thread by ignoring Wyliefan.

This is what I used to do once per day when I had some posters on ignore, now I only have two on ignore (not Wyliefan who I removed now lol). But probably it's harder when you visit more of the boards than I do and have paid for the seasonal threads unlike me...

It depends on how you use the board, too. I almost exclusively use the “new posts” function and read the threads I’m interested in from the search results. So a thread where I have the OP on ignore won’t show up in that and it’s an extra number of steps to remember I’m interested in a specific thread/topic and go into the sub-board where I think it might be and show all ignored posts looking for it. It’s a first world problem, for sure, but it definitely is an inconvenience.
