PGE Warsaw Cup 2025 (Nov 19-23) Warsaw POL

JvR/Steffan into 5th with 71.71. They always look sloppy to me. But apparently not to the judges.

The Swedes would probably have been slotted in somewhere between 4-6th if it wasn´t for the shoulder dislocation. I checked the score sheet on the first two elements they got around the same levels and GOE as at Denis Ten, for the first two elements the difference between DT and today was only 0,85 points.

They only got 1,75p worth on the pattern step because they lost to basic level, got minus GOE and a deduction for interruption in excess because of the incident. Depending on if they would have got lv. 2 og 3 on pattern step (3 in Beijing 10.19 and 2 at Denis Ten 9.14) they lost around 7-8 points on that element alone. Interesting they got a ! on their choreo element as well, but in real time they got better GOE compared to DT. Their ROLI4 was around the same as before. And they were clearly not performing at their best at the end given what happen, and probably got the ! because they lost focus. They likely would have ended around 40 in TES like before. Their PCS was most likely affected by that big mistake/interruption and likely would have been 1-2p higher and that would have put them around 69-70, maybe even close to 71 depending on the GOE they lost in the end as well.

But we will never find out...

I´m so gutted for them :( But the most important thing is that Milla is okay and taking care of her shoulder.

Looks like Rei/Maj withdrew from the FD. I hope she recovers quickly.

:( But it´s probably the wise thing to do. Like there is no point in pushing it when there is 0 chance now of getting ranking points.

They must have WD right away since they aren´t even put in the starting order for the FD, normally they would have appeared up in the staring order and WD would have been besides their name...

They are scheduled for Tallinn Trophy as well but it´s awful close so I doubt it.

Appreciate the costumes and humor of Sassi and Morini’s RD. It’s got an SNL Spartan cheerleaders vibe that I adore.

A "high five" to Ivan Shmuratko for doing so well after spending 13 hours waiting at the UKR/POL border yesterday to get the necessary permissions to come to compete, missing yesterday's practice, and practicing today with "bloated legs".

Did anyone see Wesley Chui skate? His
score is not great.
If you go to the Day 2 live stream now you can run it back about 3 & 1/2 hours and see (most of Wesley's) skate. It is likely to disappear soon but they may put it up as a video later.

His mixed zone quote (via Golden Skate):
It definitely was not my best skate, knowing what I've been doing in training. But it's my first competition after taking exactly a year off, so I just felt grateful to be here, for this opportunity. I felt like this time I came in with a different mindset after taking so much time off. It definitely felt refreshing, for sure.

Hungarians stopped halfway through -- for medical reasons, the commentator says. Not sure what reasons those are. He's keeping his hand on his mouth. ETA: They're going to continue.

They were, by the way skating to "Je suis malade"....
They have resumed their program after medical attention and discussion with the Referee.

The commentator introduced herself, I believe, at the very beginning to today's stream but I didn't catch her name. I believe she did commentary last year too.

Nikita just had a random fall landing on his stomach from what I could gather on the stream, yeah Sinicyn teams are cursed at this event, they might never ever go to this competition again :slinkaway

And now we have to worry about Jenny and Ben :X3:

Fun Cabaret program from Larson/Kapran. Of course the cuts are awkward, because that seems to be the unwritten rule, but they did use some lesser-used selections.

I'm glad to see Pinchuk/Pogorielov skating so well. Mariia posted on Instagram that she had a knee injury at the start of the season.

I feel like Igna/Szem's Joker program needs a costume change when the music kicks into high gear.
