Second set of twizzles very slow and off sync for third set, rather deliberate steps, nice dance spin, interesting to switch to “I’m still standing” during a series of lunges and not-standing-upright choreography, nice rotational lift with him on one foot part of the time

Kartashov/Kartashov

Energetic start, twizzles moved okay across the ice though lost some synchronization, nice knee bend and use of edges, little loss of unison here and there, so nice to see them choose a traditional dance style for the FD. Oklahoma!

Kartashovs have great charisma, lots of interesting choreo and program highlights. The music cuts are inexcusable!

That's what I said after the Ice Dance Final in November! Skating to Oklahoma is fine for a sibling team, but the songs they chose from Oklahoma are baffling for a sibling team!

I sort of love the balls it takes for their team to come up with a FD frankensteined with cuts from all three of "The Wizard of Oz", "The Wiz" and "Wicked".

She lost the blade grab feature on her twizzles, starting out with perhaps too much wild abandon, some nice acting and portraying the Wicked story, they skate in hold more than other teams and continue to have nice unison

Someone has to take up the OES-style mantle at US nationals—may as well be them.

There is nothing wrong with the song choices. I was specifically referring to the butchering of "Surrey with the Fringe on Top."
