Or, they could have gone to university and trained for a career in almost any subject...........they would not have had to worry about student loans and tuition payments. What a great opportunity to advance one's learning.
If I was in the spot I would likely have pursued an academic position after a Ph.D. from Cambridge or Oxford or London School of Economics.................sounds pretty good to me.
