News on Florida Skaters?

I'm just a bit concerned about skaters and coaches living and training in Florida. Hope they are all safe and sound through the looming storm Irma. Fingers crossed.

Also hope the training facilities avoid serious damage.

If anyone has news about any Florida skaters (appropriate for public forum of course) or conditions at major skating facilities/areas, it would be great if you could share a note how things are.

Just saw on CNN that Germain Arena in Ft. Myers is being used as a shelter. It's used for NHL games (I think) but I believe there is a practice rink in the facility that is used by figure skaters. If they are using it as a shelter, it must be strong enough to withstand hurricane winds. Fingers crossed for all skaters and rinks in FL.

It's not used for NHL. The Florida Panthers play at the BB&T center in Sunrise, FL near Ft. Lauderdale/Miami. There's probably a minor league team that plays there.

I was wondering about the Florida skaters too and how much their training will be disrupted after the hurricane.

Morgan is literally out in the storm right now in his IG story... taking selfies and offering the storm a kit kat for a break. So currently I'd say he's fine.

Danny and Tarah are in Colorado Springs.

The Germain Arena is used for the minor league Florida Everblades hockey team.
The NHL Teams play in The Amalie Arena in Tampa (Lightning) and BB&T in Sunrise (Panthers).

And Vanessa and Morgan looked to be having a good time during the hurricane playing a video game (or at least he was playing and she was just watching). Do they live together? Boy does he like to just hang around shirtless, lol.
