Nebelhorn Trophy - Dance RD & FD

Karl/Hoferichter were cute, but they were literlly mixing 2 songs at once at the end and it was...a lot

cpom being held for medical emergency in the audience

edit: short wait we're back

CarPon - yikes - both of their twizzles got called L2! They look fast and better trained than a lot of the other teams we've seen so far today between Nepela & Nebelhorn. LOL - finishing top 5 at Worlds has definitely led to a PCS boost. Never change, ice dance judges, never change. TES is currently about 1 point below FearGib. The RD itself is fine, though not particularly memorable or anything that will stand out in the sea of same that are most of the RDs this season.

Judges & tech panels are being STINGY today - both here and at Nepela.

I genuinely don't understand what's going on with twizzles today did they change the rules and forget to tell everyone or something
I don't either - and that's entirely possible!

After all 11 of the RDs, the results:
1 Lilah FEAR / Lewis GIBSON GBR 78.87 1
2 Christina CARREIRA / Anthony PONOMARENKO USA 76.11 2
3 Jennifer JANSE van RENSBURG / Benjamin STEFFAN GER 71.73 3
4 Marie-Jade LAURIAULT / Romain le GAC CAN 68.98 4
5 Marie DUPAYAGE / Thomas NABAIS FRA 62.91 5
6 Lily HENSEN / Nathan LICKERS CAN 58.22 6
7 Karla Maria KARL / Kai HOFERICHTER GER 56.16 7
8 Lilia SCHUBERT / Nikita REMESHEVSKIY GER 53.65 8
9 Laura FINELLI / Massimiliano BUCCIARELLI ITA 47.43 9
10 Lara LUFT / Ilias FOURATI HUN 47.18 10
11 Louise BORDET / Martin CHARDAIN FRA 46.57 11

But hey, first time out + they had to completely redo their fd so all in all not terrible. They can fix levels.
Yeah, they're fine. I do wish their RD wasn't as generic as the rest of the RDs we've seen so far, but I put far more blame on Shawn Rettstatt and the IDTC for that than any of these teams. They've all shown far more creative chops with better RD themes.

I like it myself. Not really familiar with the songs because I'm unfamiliar with most '90s music. :) But they do a nice job with it.

Will have to wait and see the video, but first thought at looking at those scores for F/G was the judges saying, "Sorry, Cizeron is back, talk to us after Worlds."

they got ! on the choreo seq and honestly it was rough lol but also I wouldn't be surprised

That’s interesting and this is the first time I’m into them

I like that the music is more "club" than "pop." That being said, it wasn't their best outing but it's still early in the season and will look a lot more polished. Cleaning up details like the transitions in and out of elements and getting the rotational spin more sharp will help sell it a lot.

I dare say they should be ahead of F/G though. By the pattern steps they were so sloppy and out of time with the music (one of my biggest gripes with this team), the could have been mistaken for the campy Finns. :slinkaway

Girl, have you ever thought about working for NASA?

OMG. Louise Bordet just took a major fall on the RoLi and took a LONG time to get back up. I'm really not liking the fact that the referee didn't call a medical timeout and have her evaluated before letting them continue.
