Apparently they are all into a clean living lifestyle. They sound the same and all look real good! I got to see them live last year and ended up right at the stage....bliss!
This is awesome. I love the horn arrangement in this. When he opened in Kansas City last time he started with "Kansas City" using a great kick-ass version and the horns were incredible there too. And it set the tone for the night. The guy is old but it sure doesn't show when he's performing. So much energy...
Can't remember what thread I talked about going to the Paul McCartney concerts....but I was "deep" dusting this morning (usually just run swifter duster over the top of everything; moved and dusted everything off the shelves this morning). At the bottom of a pile were two Paul McCartney concert programs. I had attached the ticket stub and articles from the paper inside. Annnnnyyyyywwwwwaaaayyyyy ...............
2/12/90 - ticket price says $28.50. My credit card receipt for 2 tickets (paid for my husband) was $60.50 (included service charge).
5/5/93 - ticket price says $32.50 (I'm sure there was a service charge too).
Can you imagine? And both times were excellent seats.
I kept all mine, too! I just found my KISS ticket stub. It was by Beaver Productions and the concert was held at the Hirsch Memorial Coliseum. That's actually where all the concerts were held back then in Shreveport. I saw them in August of 1979, and the ticket price was $10.00.
I'm thinking about scanning all my concert tickets and pictures I took back then to preserve them.
Watched Carole King on the "Kennedy Center Honors" broadcast last week and remembered how I wore my "Tapestry" album out from playing it so much. Back in the day an album might have a few good songs and then "filler" but I liked and loved every song on that album. Still do.
