People are now touting conspiracy theories, saying he would never have killed himself. I am doubtful about it.
Showtime had (maybe still has) a documentary about McAfee. The title was "Gringo: The Dangerous Life of John McAfee". It was released in 2016, so he's been notorious for quite some time. I haven't watched the documentary yet.

This guy fled jurisdictions to avoid court. Probably too weak o face extradition back to the US.

That's my thinking. I don't see a scenario where Spain cares one way or another if he ends up back in the US.
