This won't mean much to anyone not in Ohio, but we loved him. He was a part the Reds great team in the 70's, with Johnny Bench, Pete Rose, Tony Perez, Dave Concepcion, etc.

Morgan, one of the drivers of Cincinnati's Big Red Machine in the 1970s, has died.

RIP. He wasn't afraid to fight back when victimized by police racism, even though it was not regarded as widespread at the time:

I remember the Big Red Machine and Marty Brennanman and Joe Nuxhall on the radio "the old left hander rounding third and heading for home".

Joe Morgan was part of one of the greatest teams of all time.
