Invisible thread titles

I have had this issue for a long time. If a poster that I have on ignore starts a thread, I don't see it at all. It is like there is no thread on that topic. After I start a new thread, I discover through a third poster that there was already a thread on that.

I am not sure what the solution is (not using ignore is not an option), but if the thread title could be visible, with ' you are ignoring this poster' or something like that- just like we see in the active threads, it will be very helpful. It will avoid those duplicate threads (usually it doesn't go past 2 posts, but is an embarrassment to appear so ignorant of a thread that is in progress)

There's no work around sorry. This isn't really a problem in the grand scheme though?

Maybe no panacea, but you could ask one of the Mods to delete the thread that's the duplicate, explaining the problem, I dunno.

When you go to the relevant forum, at the bottom of the page you will find the option to show ignored content. That will "expose" all the threads, even those started by people you have on ignore. You might want to do this before posting a new thread.

Frankly, I like the invisibility, it makes "ignore" real.

I think this is the best solution - especially if it's a topic that you think is strange to not already exist.

How very odd. This thread title appeared on the Forum Index, but not when I clicked Board Business.
