Interesting "facts" re. figure skating before/during the 2026 Olympics

@CantALoop started a similar thread in January 2022 in the Trash Can pertaining to factual errors in Peacock's figure skating bios. With the ever-increasing reliance on AI since the last Winter Olympics, I thought it might be "fun" to keep track of some of the more egregious factual errors re. figure skating and/or figure skaters heading into the Milan Olympics, such as the text of this post that was read aloud by the 2 North Dakota local CBS news anchors in the embedded video here ("Tanith" was tough to pronounce!): https://www.kxnet.com/sports/italy-...evan-bates-the-king-and-queen-of-ice-dancing/

In addition to the wrong names, the reporter also got C/B's wedding date/year wrong. At least, I assume when he said "in June", he was referring to this past June, not June 2024, the correct year.

It looks like the segment was filmed at SC of Boston, likely during Champs Camp, probably for use by all local affiliate stations.

I usually will reach out (not just leave a reply in the comments section of social media posts) to try and get the more egregious errors fixed - it often sometimes works!

ETA - hey, it worked! The Carreira/Ponomarenko post has since been corrected!
