No, I don't believe Madison Chock has ever competed as a pair skater. Maybe you saw a photo of her doing a dance move that looks like a pairs move? Do you have a link?

You probably saw this photo? http://www.justjaredjr.com/photo-ga...evan-bates-win-rostelcom-cup-russia-pairs-01/

The photo is of a U.S. pair team (Jessica Calalang/Zack Sidhu) doing a split twist lift, not Chock/Bates who won the ice dance event at the 2014 Rostelecom Cup Grand Prix competition in Russia.

ETA: I understand now - all the photos in this gallery are of the 2 U.S. pairs and 3 dance teams that competed at this particular competition: http://www.justjaredjr.com/2014/11/...-chock-evan-bates-claim-rostelecom-cup-title/
"Pair" means 2 skaters skating together and that's why the URL links are labeled "pairs" for both the pair and dance teams.

The only thing that I can find about Madison Chock and pairs is in the Wikipedia article about her. Here is what is written there:

"Madison Chock began skating at the age of five, after becoming interested by watching it on TV with her parents. Ice dancing was suggested to her at the age of 12 and she found she enjoyed it, although she initially had no interest in dance. She also tried pair skating and took all the tests through to intermediate level."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madison_Chock

The source for this information is an old article at GoldenSkate.com by J. Barry Mittan - for which the link no longer works. Nothing related to her competing in pairs is mentioned there. All competition results in her profile are for ice dancing.

I hope that answers your question, FSWer.

That's the one.
