Say, I don't know how many of us here are Ice-Dancers or Pairs Skaters. But if anyone is, I was wondering how you got your skating Partner? I know someone who got a Partner from that person just coming up to them and offering to be their Partner. What about you all?

It really depends on the situation, FSWer. In my most competitive partnership (at the adult level), my coach suggested to my partner that I would be a good match after he decided he wanted to move up a level and his prior partner wasn't ready to. I also have skated with a friend that I met at the rink, but that was long after we got to know each other - plus we were both adult skaters.
I would not expect to get a partner by just going up to someone and offering to be their partner. I would also not recommend doing that.
