oh. I was just coming to say something about Helen Reddy, but I hadn't seen about Mac Davis. I hadn't thought of him for years but yesterday was singing "Oh Lord its hard to be humble, when you're perfect in everyone way" to myself and chuckling.

I'm singing Delta Dawn this morning; my cousin and I used to sing that back in the 70s. R.I.P. Helen and Mac.

"I Am Woman" is a song that really made a difference in the world. I'm really sad to hear that Helen Reddy has passed away.

And Mac Davis had a reputation in the music industry as being an artist who was kind and respectful, and very easy to work with - and also hugely talented.

2020 sucks.

I saw her in an interview once when she was asked if Helen Reddy was her real name or a stage name. She seemed astonished by the question & responded by saying, "Why would I ever pick a name like Helen Reddy as a stage name?"
