I'm hoping Isabeau is in the mix but had to vote Mihara, Sakamoto, and Hendrickx. I'm happy for all 6 to have made it to the Final.

LOL - y'all, Isabeau has the highest aggregate score going into this with 422.40.

Mai - 421.57
Loena - 420.25
Kaori - 419.48
Yelim - 399.25
Rinka - 385.66

It's a 4-way battle for the podium and I kind of think Mai's gonna be the one off the podium.

Actually I think it’s gonna be Mai who will take the whole thing with Isabeau as spoiler

Please explain how an aggregate score is a better predictor than total score for one's best competition result?

Isabeau's lower score would have won gold in 3 of the GPs (SCI, NHK and Espoo), and her high score is comparable to that of Mai, Kaori and Loena. The aggregate score demonstrates she has been the steadiest of the four leading contenders for the podium, even if it hasn't resulted in any wins on the GP. Overall, my intuition tells me she's going to take advantage of any mistakes the other three make - and the odds are good that at least one will falter. Therefore, my prediction that she'll be on the podium and might even win the whole thing.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and predict that Levito will win this whole thing and just blow up the Hype Machine heading into San Jose. Can't say I'm a fan, but I think she'll have cleaned up her glitches and pass everyone. On paper she's got the most jump difficulty and the others have shown vulnerabilities.

I'd say Mihara and Sakamoto will duke it out for the other two podium spots.

Personally, I'd love to see Watanabe 3Axel her way to victory here.

Your thoughts...

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm going with:
1. Mihara
2. Levito
3. Sakamoto

I can't believe I'm leaving Loena off the podium.

During this season, 3 JPN women skaters scored over 217. Two, Kaori Sakamoto and Mai Mihara, will compete in Senior GPF, but the top scorer Mao Shimada will compete in JGPF. Considering that Junior requirements limit the scores (Must do 3Lo & 3Ax not allowed as Axel type jump in SP, No Stsq in FP), 10-12 point TES disadvantage exist, apart from obvious PCS disadvantage (In Japan West Sectionals, Mai was granted 9+ PCS advantage over Hana Yoshida, but Hana managed to beat Mai by virtue of excellent TES). Will Mao and Hana Yoshida score higher than senior women in Senior GPF? This coming GPF is exciting as battle between skating generations is taking place between Seniors and Juniors.

My favorites are Isabeau and Loena so I’d love them to be 1 and 2 on the podium in any order. Followed by Kim and Sakamoto. But I think Isabeau and Mai have been the most consistent over the Grand Prix, though hasn’t Mai missed her flip? The competition will be fierce. Hope everyone comes in healthy.

I think the ladies might be the most unpredictable of any group. The men are a close second, but I think a few people have set themselves apart more in mens, whereas the top 6 in ladies could really come in in any order.
