The video plays in English for me, but I’ve seen other videos where the autodub feature takes over and it translates (for me —> to English). And usually the voices are hilariously bad and overdramatic.

You can switch it back in the settings for said video. It might be picking up that you have a YouTube account with France as your home region regardless of location.

Click the gear, go to audio track, and it probably is defaulted to auto-dubbed.

:rofl: I was talking about the video being dubbed here on FSU, not on YT and not asking why. I also know how to use YT don't worry. My YT region is the US and the auto-dub is disabled. I only mentionned the dubbing because, when you know people's real voices, it really sounds insanely ridiculous! I was being facetious when I told you I was in Italy where I actually am drinking Limoncello and getting more than a little dizzy as I rarely drink hence me not being very clear right now. Salute!! :40beers:
 
I listened closely to Fournier-Beaudry and Cizeron in that English-language interview. There is a very faint trace of a French-Canadian accent in her voice and of a French one in his, as well as some odd syntax. Those are their own voices, not dubbing.

Not to further go down this drain of confusion, but whether one opens the link on FSU or not, it’s to the YouTube platform all the same. I looked and that video does in fact have autodub details for like 6 languages. I never set anything to autodub but as of late it does happen sometimes. That is 100% what’s happening.

@cholla knows when it’s French as its her native language 😂 but she’s also off enjoying her drinks so I think there’s a disconnect in realizing even the imbedded interviews here are still from YouTube.

And lol to anyone who saw my initial autocorrected word

Yes it's their own voices in the interview that was conducted in English, nobody ever said otherwise, that's not what Tony and I were discussing. I've known Guillaume since he was 13 y.o., I know his voice too.

@tony I just had strong coffee so now not only am I sober but I won't be able to sleep so... :lol: I watched the video both here on FSU and on my YouTube app. I get the dubbing here and NOT on my YouTube app. So there has to be something different between the 2. I also watched the video on YT on my phone browser and... no dubbing. So, in the remains of my Limoncello fumes, I think that it is because when I watch the video on YT (app or web) I use my YT account set without the auto-dub and with USA as a region, but FSU sends me to the "general" YT and I get the dubbing because of my FSU location or IP (I'm close enough to the border that the signal can come from France). BUT !! I get the other 3 videos without the dubbing... Mwahaha! I'm developing a mild headache now :rofl:
