This made me go search that thread - just out of interest... wanted to see what my posts were like 10 years ago. And man they were boring, probably even more boring than they are nowadays. BUT the BIGGEST shocker came on page 8: I posted "I'm ditching the next group for some sleep." WHAT THE HELL??!!!! AMateur!!

I didn't see you posting in it though. And considering the time difference, I suppose anyone posting from somewhere other than American time zones was wide awake in the middle of the night.

I'd probably suggest reading those threads simultaneously while watching the comp tonight. If there's enough time, that is. Might be more fun than reading before or after.

Those without access to the Archives may well wonder how such a thread could exist, given that FSU wasn't around then.

ETA: I love how the Starting Time is listed in @alchemy void Time and @Jeschke Time but not EDT or UCT.

That thread was the best. I mean, almost everyone adopting classic Kwan-era posting styles.

I hope to do it this way but yda eve I downloaded the OD from the link @alchemy void posted earlier just in case my internet is too slow, or in case the number of us joining in causes difficulties with the preferred "watch together" app. (Someone can let me know if it gets to the point they think I should drop off.)

ETA - I actually am a season-pass-type member of this board and seldom follow pbp in real time. As such I feel obliged to bow out if the "real" board supporters are having difficulty joining in. (Besides, I am Canadian, lol.)

Wow...all the fear we had about the weather here in Mtl for worlds...It is 7 degrees C....sun is brilliant....rained during the morning but possibility of thunderstorms all afternoon going up to 12 degrees C. Then overnight dropping to minus 8 C overnight. Was just out chopping ice up and making little canals so the water flows out as anything left will be hard ice in the morning. Fun and games

Sounds amazing! Unfortunately I can't find much on youtube outside of the medalists and a few random skates. Find me a link or playlist.

Interestingly enough, it seems like there's a ton of content on youtube from the 90s to like about 2004 then coverage is really scattered until around 2014.

BTW we start in 25 minutes, I'll post the link in the first post of the thread. Hopefully no technical issues today.
