i am on the east coast so not privy to day to day stuff but i did see her programs from pacific coasts sectionals i think it was. she doesn't look very enthusiastic. maybe just a bad day.
SHe was pretty disappointed by her skate. I remember her sitting next to her mom.
Then again other skaters have bounced back the following year. Hopefully she will too!

I did it when I was very young so I know a bit about it. It is super popular in europe (particularly russia and france if I remember correctly). It is called ballet on ice there. It is not exactly like synchro because there is usually more freestyle and story telling involved. They also use props. If anything I would compare it to something like disney on ice. You can search toi nations cup on youtube and the first few videos will give you a good idea
Theatre on Ice has become quite popular. Those I know who do it love it because it is fun and they enjoy the people they are doing it with. Great way to involve them in the sport.
Theatre on ice has level teams from Preliminary to Senior and Adult. They do two programs. A choreographed exercise where there are no props and they have certain requirements. The team wears all black for that portion. The freeskate consists of any theme and they use props and costumes of their choice. They have Nationals every year and the Nations cup every few years. I was on an adult team for a short time. The team needs to have at least 8 members.
