Dylan Moscovitch Retiring from Competitive Skating

He's always been one of my favourites ... seems like a truly nice guy. He and Luba were a wonderful pair; it's too bad that they seemed to have a run of bad luck this season.

So he's not going to skate professionally? In the beginning of the season that was the plan, for him and Luba to do shows. But I guess that plan has changed? :

Exactly what shows do you think they might skate in that would provide them sufficient income to support developing new choreography and sustaining training costs? The only tour in Canada is CSOI and that is only a couple of months a year. Otherwise, there are a variety of "end of season" shows at various clubs across the country, etc. Hardly enough to constitute a "professional career"

l’d imagine they hoped to get other opportunities in other countries - the Art on Ice tour, Japanese shows etc.
