Try the picture of the box in Google Images. You might be able to find the manufacturer's website and see if there are English instructions there.

I looked online, I found the brand maybe, but when I looked it up there were no directions and the box was different. The In this post is from my camera, I just used an image hosting site.

It's an Oden Instant Soup by H House. I can't tell from the foto if it is just soup starter stock, or a bigger package with other elements.
If it is a soup-stock powder, take 1.5 cup of water, boil it, put in powder, boil, let it simmer. Add a bit of sake, soy sauce. Put in standard Oden ingredients: only instead of fish, put in chicken like on foto: http://www.hellotokyo.jp/wp-content/uploads/DSC01716.jpg

It's official "Japanese Winter soup". But it's pretty bad when made out of dry powder.... It will not taste good. Oden soup made from scratch is very good ..

There are Oden soups all over Asia, Korean, Singapore, Hong-Kong recipes ...

Just look up "Oden soup".... and you'll figure out what to do with the package. Sometimes it is referred to as "stew" and not "soup".

LOL Is it a souvenir from Sapporo in Hokkaido, Japan? "Soup Curry" is popular in Sapporo.

Recipe:
(1) Cut a potato & a carrot (and other vegetables if you like). Watch the picture on the box to see the size of the cut veges. Simmer them with 40 ml of water in a small pan until they become tender.
(2) Remove the pan from the heat once. Blend "濃厚特性スープ"(curry sauce) into (1). And then bring it to an instant boil.
(3) Pour "香スパイスオイル” (spicy oil) into a bowl. Pour (2) into the bowl too.
(4) Add ”絡み調整スパイス" (spice powder for adjusting how hot it to be) if you want.

Have fun.:)

THANK YOU! I will try it tomorrow night. Usually when I buy any Asian packaged foods, they always have English stickers with the ingredients and recipe info put on them. This threw me for a loop!

Try this:

Right click on the image you posted
Select "search image on Google"
Click on "Best guess for this image"
The first result is the web page for this product (in japanese)
Once there, right click on the page (not on any specific link) and select "translate into English".
And there you are, it'll be choppy English, but I think you can figure it out.
Go to the icon with the fork and knife and you'll find plenty of recipes to use the product. (You have to translate every page you want to see).

Hope this helps :)

I don't get 'Best guess for this image' instead I get 'Best guess for this image: food' and the only thing that comes up is my post here as well as different foods in the same colors. I'll try when I get home too.

The Google Translate phone app can translate from photos... you could always try that too.

I spent several years in Japan and had one opportunity to eat homemade Oden. It was the most memorable meal I had in Japan.
