Biggest meltdown in final free skate under pressure from a potential winning or leading position?

I've wondered if the judges would have put Scott Davis over Candeloro for bronze at either 1994 Olympics of 1995 Worlds had Scott landed most of his content (that being said, he was never a good long program skater in his career).

Jill Trenary was in first place heading into the long program at the 1989 World Championships (2nd figures, 2nd short), but delivered this long program to drop to third overall.

She really froze in the long program. She only managed two triple jumps.

With compulsory figures still around at that time, I'm not sure how the points would've worked out. But if she had placed second in the LP behind Ito, would Trenary have won overall? I know that if Leistner had placed 2nd in the SP as opposed to 3rd, she actually would've won the gold.
