Achtung Baby Turns 30

Regarding this album, Acrobat really grew on me as I aged, lol.

Achtung Baby being 30 makes me feel like I grew up on another planet, not to mention old.

I picked up my trainer last week and was playing this album. He said, "Oh, U2, I'll never forgive them for forcing that bad free album on all of us."

Whatever, ya little punk! They wrote the music of my youth.

Achtung Baby was the soundtrack of my college years. I wore out my cassette tape listening to it all the time:)

U2 uber for life. Coco, I always think of you when I hear "City of Blinding Lights" and that Ohio roadtrip to the random cheesefest in the mid-aughts.

My friend Tory and I used to play this cassette on repeat junior year of high school. It is a very rare occasion when I love almost every song on an album, and this was one of those albums. I always wanted someone to skate to “Love is Blindness.” They did in one of my books ?

I remember being so turned off by this album the first time I heard it. I expected something like The Joshua Tree and it was so different.

It ended up being my favorite U2 album. I know every song by heart to this day.

I like going back to the roots of legendary groups. Their 1980 album 'Boy' is worth a listen.

For me the thing about U2 is I don't think they have released an album that I didn't like. I love their output before Achtung and merely like what has followed. So many groups have hits and misses.

I saw U2 live during the 1986 Amnesty International tour and again a year later when they were touring the Joshua Tree album. Amazing.

My favorite song on Achtung Baby is probably Mysterious Ways.

My favorite songs ever include The Three Sunrises and The Sweetest Thing.
