I don’t see this posted, so I am starting this thread. If I missed it, please merge it (for admins).

Myanmar (formerly Burma) had a 7.7 magnitude earthquake couple days ago. It was felt in Thailand, where 17 have died so far. In Myanmar the death toll has reached 1600.

I was in Mandalay in 2019, such a beautiful place, dreadful to think of it now.

The strongest earthquake I was ever in was a 6.4 with the shallow epicenter only 10 miles from my location when it hit. It struck at 4:30 in the morning (virtually every quake I have been in struck during nighttime) & it literally threw me out of bed. The damage was catastrophic.

I simply cannot imagine a quake of this magnitude. My heart goes out to these people.
