2026 Worlds Pairs FS PBP - Loathe Story

I dislike these costumes more every time I see them.
Hers at least invokes Avatar. I'm not sure who he is supposed to be as I don't remember a character with a collared shirt.

ETA oh, I was thinking of The Last Airbender.

I feel like to really nail the Avatar look she should have a hood a la Olivia Smart's Dune costume

I say this as someone who actually doesn't care much for The Last Airbender, that would be more interesting to me.

CalMag - Oh, God... I'd forgotten about these mismatched costumes! SBS 2a+1a+1a - accomplished; 3tw - done; throw 3f - two-footed landing; first lift - alright; SBS 2s - lolololol; throw 3lo - another two-footed landing; choreo seq - eh; second lift - that was sketchy going up; last lift - better but still slow; BODS - alright; combo spin - why does any team end on such an unimpressive element? Okay, fine, pretty much all of CalMag's elements are unimpressive. This will be last.

The music isn't bad.

I have fond memories of watching the anime with my son as well.

The Ukrainian teams jackets are designed in such way that it looks like she has super buff tattooed hands

I don't know if it's the choreography or just how they're skating but the Ukrainians don't do any highlight moves on the rare parts of this cover of Mad World that are actually dynamic and it is irksome.

HoliDar - SBS 3f - he fell; 3tw - very nice; SBS 3s+1a+1a - done; throw 3lo - gorgeous; first lift - nice; choreo seq - actually pretty interesting; throw 3s - bit forward on the landing but huge air; second lift - excellent; last lift - good; FIDS - nice; combo spin - meh. They'll probably remain in the lead because they should have higher PCS than the rest of the teams in this group but I'm underwhelmed by another plodding program.

Very impressive throws happening here.
Sully before he became a blue guy, I suspect.
Perhaps so. I'm grinning here at two intelligent adults discussing "before he became a blue guy" ..... just like it's a normal conversation. :D

Holy smokes ... we are at a break already?? But, Buddha (cat) and I just got all settled and comfy. Now, I feel like I have to get up and do something. Buddha is going to be outraged!

Interesting. I wasn't expecting HoliDar to drop a couple of places. I can't really disagree with that either.

I didn't realize there were 5 groups. Is that normal for Worlds? Usually when the drop people, it's to get to 4 groups, right?

It works out well for me, I can make myself some lunch and should be ready in time for the skating to start up again. Tomorrow will be trickier for me.
