2026 US Nationals Pairs FS "Ghosted (by my triples)"

I’m actually fine with S/N score. It makes sense. I’m less OK with C/H’s free skate score as it felt high compared to others. They were the class of group 1 but I feel like they were generously scored. I think they should have been closer to M/P in the long. C/H had issues with ever jump/throw.

That was difficult to watch, the nerves everyone had was something else. I would send K/O and Mc/P to Olympics if E/M don't get her citizenship. Not Chan/Howe. And then the top 2 (or is it 3) to Worlds. Oh man, I just realized that Parkman isn't eligible either for the Olympics.

So unbelievably, it will like be K/O and C/H for the Olympics.

Someone’s voodoo dolls worked.
I just want everyone to know that I do not have any voodoo dolls in my possession! Also, after KamO's ridiculous score for that program, I was resigned to ShiNagy making the team with a relatively clean free skate which they delivered.
In 2026 is Congress even necessary? Trump might do a classic THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION ON THIS MATTER post on Truth Social
Trump won't do that for pairs figure skating, sorry. Also, not especially since it would probably mean that a serving member of the military (Howe) loses out on their Olympic dream.
We only have 2 places
For Worlds we have 3 - that's why people are saying to send McBark to Worlds, which I agree with.

So, probably Kam/O'Shea and Chan/Howe to Olympics. They would be my picks but we shall see. Now, I'm off to watch the last group of pairs at the Cdn. Nats and then back for the US women's free skate which should be SUPER exciting. What a great way to spend a Friday evening.

I don't have a problem with S/N's score itself. That might be the only real score in the competition. I have a problem with Chan/Howe's score being too high. They want to send Chan/Howe, fine, send them. Use the discretionary part of the criteria to justify it. But don't overcook them and leave casual viewers confused as to why they scored so much lower at the Olympics. It's not a good long-term plan to build up a fan base.

Who was that ice dancer whose mom wrote Congress and Hillary Clinton, Lauren hyphenated something, to prevent Belbin from getting citizenship? Was Ben implying Kam/O'Shea got Abbott involved in the citizenship issue?

Parkman is not a citizen

Kam and O'Shea? They were talking for Misha. He was born in Texas.

Loren Galler-Rabinowitz?

Looking through the protocols - ShiNagy's SBS jumps all got rotation calls; their combo got hammered - ouch. Last lift got called Base level. Just a LOT of negative GOE all around. Their BV was actually higher than ChanHowe!

ChanHowe BV - 52.90+9.98 GOE = 62.88
ShiNagy BV - 54.10+.39 GOE = 54.49

And then ChanHowe also beat them on PCS.

I have no idea what the International Committee is going to do with these results with regard to the Olympic team. They've typically rewarded the more experienced skater/team rather than gone with future potential, so I'm thinking that maybe ChanHowe have the edge, but I also know that ShiNagy have some serious political pull in the USFS, so who knows?
