This is a pretty good skate for someone who barely made the FS. Congrats on a nice Olympics, Lorine!

Schild's skating is quite stiff, and this really affected her ability to land the jumps well today.

SP: 55.63 = 24th Place
FS: 111.45 = 1st Place
Total: 167.08 = 1st Place

Well, she's not saying it's out of the question, though according to her, Kaori got all the cards that signify a win. The most recent ones are indicating Gubanova is going to be the surprise podium placement - along with Kaori & Adeliia and Alysa not on the podium at all. She's also clearly aware of Ami's 50-50 success rate with the 3a and is predicting the FS doesn't go well. Neutral but not enthusiastic on Mone's chances of being on the podium. But the reading for Alysa right after the SP was different & she thought Alysa would maybe wind up with silver or bronze. So, really, she's just covering all her bases.

Funny, these seats on paper are the worst I’ve had as the Women’s long program tickets were the hardest to get; I’m in the very last, highest row. BUT, these are the LEAST obstructed and most comfortable seats I’ve had thus far!! This arena seating is crazy lol.

Looked like 3Fe to me, and probably 3-4 underrotations (both loops, the second axel, the salchow); I'd want to see the flip and second lutz, too. It'll be telling to see if she escapes with qs or has UR calls.

Kaiser has seemingly been at every competition this season trying to get the minimums while skating injured/awfully. Happy to see her make the free skate and have a very respectable showing ... and just as I type this she goes down on a 2A<, but still. Way above where she has been for most of the season.

Kaiser’s dress is stunning, from someone never with an opinion on this stuff.

And this is an example of a country using the spots they have. She was questionable to get to come here and she’s hitting 1000x more in this free skate than she did all season. Do it when it matters!!

So glad Kaiser got to compete here after earning the spot for SUI. Wish she could’ve rested her injury and paced her comeback in the fall rather than chasing Swiss required tech minimums.

After being injured, I'm glad Kaiser made the free. She has nice skating qualities even if she isn't back to 100%.
