2026 Olys Mens FS PBP - Habemus Pop-am

Kyrylo just manages to stay ahead of Max, so 19th at worst, but we've got some skaters capable of bombing still to go.

Wow, sucks to have to be bummed out by sad music about their friends and families being bombed every night. Maybe one day they'll prioritize your feelings and skate to something perky just for you.

Completely disagree. The war is still on and nobody should care if you are “over it.”
Well, it's not as if it's helping them skate better. At what point do you decide to revisit the depressing dirges and go for something a bit more uplifting that might help you have a more successful competition? Better results would give them a far bigger platform to tell their story than mid-to-poor results where they're forgotten as soon as they're done skating.

Wow! I cannot believe what a consistent skater Gogolev has become!

Of course it's clear that he's still lacking in many areas, but after such a long drought, what Canada needs right now is someone who can lay it down under pressure. :respec:

Wow. Most people would stop digging.

Four for four for Gogolev at these Olympics. A career accomplishment for a skater who looked like he might never get to this level.

SP: 87.41 = 10th Place
FS: 186.37 = 1st Place
Total: 273.78 = 1st Place

Even from the beginning of the season, it looks like Gogolov has finally figured out managing his tall, long, thin build and is working on his artistry. Not my favorite skater, but I’m really pleased that he’s getting to be a finer skater. GREAT OLYS for him! Oh Canada!
