I also was very confused. I looked up the difference and it was like well someone skis next to you instead of you skiing by yourself and the scores being compared.

Which I already understood, but it doesn’t tell me why these would be separate medal events.

I assume it’s because the ISU likes to add medal events without adding athletes.

The Snowboard Slopestyle events were rescheduled a day earlier to today on account of tomorrow's weather forecast. The commentator said "we all had to cut their Valentine's celebrations earlier" and it definitely sounded like he meant himself and his partner.

Is this usual for snowboard? I can understand delaying an event but bringing it forward must really affect your mental game.
