2026 Olympic Social Media/Ads

Instastory below shows most of the U.S. figure skaters as they make their way to the top of the stairs together before entering Team USA welcome experience/team processing. Love their beaming smiles and the applause for them.
(I see: Naumov, Torgashev, Zingas/Kolesnik, Carreira/Ponomarenko, Chan/Howe, Kam/O'Shea, Glenn, Liu, Levito.)

Apologies for U.S.-centric post -- did not know where else to share it. (I don't belong to Kiss and Cry.)

And apologies for Instastory link, but I thought that Team USA fans with Instagram accounts would enjoy seeing this happy moment before the video disappears.

Thanks for sharing since I don't follow the Team USA Athletes’ Commission's Instagram account.

Since this thread includes "Olympic Social Media" in the title feel free to continue sharing some of this kind of fun content here during the Olympics. :)

For those who do have access to the Kiss & Cry section, here's the link to a similar thread there: https://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/threads/news-fluff-via-social-media-figure-skating-focus.113649/

If Barbara Fusar-Poli and Maurizio Margaglio are not reunited to re-enact The Stare for the Opening Ceremonies, or at the very least a tv advertisement, it will be a missed opportunity.

I've posted links to Getty Images photos from Team USA Processing today in the various skaters' fan threads.)

Let the games begin. A striking ice installation by five World Ice Art Champions honors American athletic excellence and the spirit of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Carved from 10 metric tons of ice, the 12-foot-tall installations at Rockefeller Center and Top of the Rock feature four Team USA athletes, figure skater Madison Chock, snowboarder Red Gerard, para snowboarder Brenna Huckaby, and speed skater Erin Jackson, celebrating #MilanoCortina2026. Discover the exhibition at the Channel Gardens in Rockefeller Center in New York City January 30–31.

Valentina Marchei, who is head of the MC 2026 Ambassador program as per her insta, was also a torchbearer a few days ago:
Marchei was the odd woman out the last time the Olympics were in Italy, so very cool that she's such a big part of them this time :cheer:

Also carrying the torch a few days ago: Carolina Kostner!

More from the 13 figure skaters of Team USA yesterday (10 photos & 4 clips):

Hopefully as more skaters from other countries arrive in Milan we’ll see more fun things posted by them on social media as well.
Per Trennt Michaud, he's leaving in 2 days. Sounds like most of IAM is leaving tomorrow per Romain H on IG. VLDigs are off to Milano today and I think so are BekHern.

Here's a Coke ad with Ilia:

I wonder if the Hershey commercial was filmed before the FS team was announced because Jason Brown was in it with his parents.

Definitely before!

Copying over here from Jason's fan thread (Jan. 31):
Just saw Hershey’s shared this on Insta today - Jason left a red heart and many people have posted supportive comments:
Jan. 21 announcement of Hershey's "Happiness Is the Real Gold" (Jason is one of the 5 Olympic athletes): https://www.hersheyland.com/stories/happiness-is-the-real-gold.html[/URL]

But, I think it works well with him in it because the main point of the ads is that these parents are proud of their kids for who they are and not for their medals. What they wish most for their kids is happiness, not medals.
