2026 March Madness-its crazy out there, or will be

I support the portal, the NIL and players wanting to leave early for the NBA. That said I was watching a KU game from 2003 when one junior and two sophomores would eventually have long careers in the NBA. To see those caliber of players stay together for a couple of years in college made the play so good.

Now, early on, it is "what the hell are they doing?" But to be sure they do improve and it is fun to watch that progress from game to game. The tournament is always a gas.

Damn - you all think skating tickets are expensive? I just took a look at the first game in the March Madness NE game. Thought maybe a trip to OK would be doable - drive, 3 night stay, 2 games.

The tickets for ONE game ranged from ~$350 for the upper section to ~$1600+ for seats on the floor and the first few rows.

Nope. I'll be watching from home. Or if I get brave enough a sports bar.

Yes they are steep. It has been ages since I've been to one. What I remember was that the Fab 5 (maybe down to Fab 4) played against Pepperdine in a Regional in Wichita. I had great seats from a Coca Cola executive who had NO interest. Anyway it went to overtime and Michigan won. And I thought Pepperdine would be crushed but they all said they loved being the underdog and having most of the folks at the venue pull for them. You forgot they play in small arenas. It was much, much less expensive to go to regular season games at Allen Fieldhouse. Love that place.
