2026 Junior Worlds - Women FS

I will have to go back and watch some of the skates with sound - I just got off the frustrating 2 hr. plus Zoom meeting :(

I was able to copy scores at the appropriate time between groups 2 & 3 though.

Oka

3z-3t with good distance, fall on 3a attempt, 3r with a leg wrap, nice knee bend in her basic skating and getting into the ice; flip out of 3z, don’t think this is going to keep her on the podium

Too big of a lead from the SP saved her podium placement.

Hmmmm... How hard are the judges going to work to give Mao the FS win here even with a rather generic program? I'd give Hana the FS win, honestly.

Well, I really hope that dampens some of the "Mao's gonna come in and win everything next season" talk that's been reaching a boiling point since the Olympics.

Judges got the FS result right in giving Hana the win.

Does Isr and Aus have two girls to send every jgp?
Australia has enough junior women competing but I expect that most of them would wind up finishing near the bottom of every JGP just like their 2nd woman did here at Jr Worlds.

Not sure about Israel.

I’m looking forward to seeing Shimada compete with Nakai again, who I think progressed considerably this season. And, of course, seeing her face everyone else in seniors will be fun, too.

The poor kid was very sick and managed to deliver. It's gross how some people continue to kick people when they're down.
Yes, she's so far down she's on the top of the podium.

Even if she wasn't sick today, her FS this season is incredibly blah and I'm not sure it deserves the scores it receives.
