Good start by Yu-Hsiang Li -3A called rotated for now, -1.43 on his 4T that he landed.

Yu-Hsiang was obviously one of my highlights of the Olympics-- from just barely getting in there (and the tech panel incorrectly calling a jump as happening before 2 minutes which could've cost him the spot), to making the free skate in Milan, to having a great skate in said free skate.

He's had this same free skate for four straight seasons, so I'm sure money plays a big part. Hopefully he keeps improving!

Fingers crossed for Jordan! I mentioned in an Olympics thread that he's probably in for a massive bonus, so hopefully that will help with expenses going forward.

Side note - but Thomas and I were given an extra ticket to the men's free skate in Milan and I texted Yu-Hsiang to make sure that all of his family had tickets. I knew they were all there and I thought of him as one of the first people to give it to. He said he was all covered!

Krouglov: I thought he was undermarked in PCS in the SP, maybe he'll get credit here for his presentation and musical engagement, particularly after skating after Kazanecki.

That Salchow fall, darn. I think he would've gone ahead of Lucius otherwise. And he still maybe should if they give him the mid-7's PCS he deserves.

What can we do to get Belgium a decent ice dance or pairs team that can make a legitimate run at an Oly spot in 2030? Who doesn't want to see Team Belgium in the TE?

Actually, Lindfors is ahead of everyone on PCS:

Two quad Lutzes that basically require 10 seconds each of pumping around the ice sloppily to do them, second one questionably landed. But everything else is actually quite nice.

Choi's getting nice height on his jumps. Needs to work on the turnout of his free leg on the landing instead of just letting it drop unaesthetically

The coach on the left (and coach of almost all the Korean skaters), Hyungkyung Choi, made the short program at 1998 Worlds and is one of five skaters whose program has never seen the light of day AFAIK. I so want to see it.

Sigh. Weiler came apart completely in the free skate last year and he's basically gone that direction this year too. So pleasant to watch. No consistency.
