Seeing Gogolev fullfill his potential reminds me the 1st JGP Stephen did in Lake Placid when he and Alysa Liu made their long awaited Junior debuts. Gogo won the Silver while Alysa won the ladies. Also in that competition was Shun Sato who won and some kid with long legs and huge jumps named Ilia Malinin. Now they all will be in Milan at the Olympics just over 6 years later and just a couple of years ago no one would have seen anyone but Ilia in Milan. What a journey for all of them to get here now.

My partner is from Bozeman, Montana. I knew nothing about Montana before I met him. The first time I went there with him was over Christmas and it reminded me so much of a quintessential Canadian ski town.

I was at that JGP and I’m pretty sure Audrey Shin was there too as a youngster!

Almost 8 years ago at JGP in Richmond, the Men's roster included Gummenik, Siao Him Fa, Gogolev, and Nikolaj Majorov. Gummenik, Siao Him Fa, and Gogolev will compete in Men's in Milan, and Majorov will compete in Dance, along with Lajoie/Lagha. Demougeot/Le Mercier of Milan. Miura was there, too, with former partner Ichihashi.
