To be honest while i have no dog in this hunt i like to see new blood get their chance and Roman's had his chances and has been to the Olympics. Same with the Ladies Gabby has been to a couple of Olympics and Maddie's had her chances to improve so i wouldn't mind a upset with the ladies too so we get some new faces at the Olympics.

That's a bummer. USFS is ridiculous, I get why they don't want any kind of free feed, but surely they could let people from other countries purchase some kind of feed (not that I expect many would want to).

It's only been streaming unfortunately, so it will likely have the Free Dance tomorrow but unfortunately it sounds like it's been pretty choppy tonight.

Still glad Anthony tried the 3A in the short but the effort clearly takes away from the rest of the program.

Still him.

Perhaps that was it but aside from the jump issues, his other elements and the in-betweens were special as always, but to me everything in that program looked like it was a lot of hard work. This was in contrast to most of the rest of the men who seemed to be skating with smoothness and freedom, which is much more enjoyable.

I saw John Kim live at Challenge a few years ago and he was landing quads and triple axels handily in the practice. Nice to see him do it on competition ice. Great to see Gogo not only land the jumps but skate with feeling and abandonment. Really good event showing some very positive signs for men's skating in Canada.

Gogolev's personality in that program was perhaps a bigger surprise to me than the return of his big jumps. Wesley blew me away. He has always had great components, imho, but today he seemed so confident. I never doubted for a moment that he was going to hit it out of the park.
This was really enjoyable to watch - I didn't stress out at all and I usually do. Even those who had slip ups seemed to take their marks in stride.

Congrats on the T-shirt - you deserve it for all the work you put into this championship on FSU.

David Li scored 8 points higher overall here than his bronze medal winning score of 197.99 last year. Worth noting that last year had no Gogolev, Chiu, Rakic (WD after SP), Keegan, Bondar (still in jr), Shteyngart (still in jr)
