Tkachenko & Kiliakov kept their FD from last season. These are real costumes. I would have liked a new program, but they didn't get to compete this FD at Euros or Worlds last year. At Euros due to his injury and at Worlds because they missed the cut.
I think keeping the programme helped Tkachenko/Kiliakov in Lake Placid (and probably went a long way to confirm them as solidly Israel #1, which will help them through the season). From those clips, they seemed more comfortable and confident in the FD than most of the teams, and skating pretty fluidly whereas others still seemed to be thinking through the elements. But I wonder how it will hold up once the other mid-pack teams get more mileage in their new programmes. Last season I found it a bit safe and generic.

Yeah, I see the advantage there. For them, it's all about being ready in time for the qualifier. And if they don't make it, well they're a young team that can afford to further develop their skills.
