Interesting results. What had happened to Gotodnitsky? Never was exciting but used to be consistent.

Jacob was truly robbed. Very messy skate from Ma. Jacob has skating skills, spins and beauty of jumps all over Jimmy. And I do enjoy Jimmy when he is on but come on!

Love Selevko, but despise the Prince program on him. Also love Sadovsky but I’ve given up hope for clean performances.

Martynov seems to be going nowhere… too bad. And Kapekis is mired in mediocrity. Mediocre forgettable music and programs and skating. He once had a lot of promise too.

I did think Gogolev looked better than he has in the recent past.

Wow this is the best Hetty Shi has skated in a long time. I know she had a couple of pops (still managed two double axels after the single loop). The lutz is not a good jump for her but she did a really nice one to open (at least to my eyes).

Shi

opens with 3z, 3f-2t, 3f, she's got a bit of a leg wrap, nice change of edge on her camel spin, popped 1r-2a later in program, oh and popped the solo toe as well. Many of her jumps are telegraphed, but hopefully, she can eventually integrate the elements more with her choreography

Volkova

Middle Eastern arms, 3t-3t with good attack (maybe short on second one), 3f, 2a, 3z fall (didn't look like it got all the way around), think she needs more height on her jumps so she can comfortably complete the rotations, 3r fall, unfortunately, it started falling apart, but still skating with attention to the choreo and she has a calm expression

4th Canadian in a row... this program seems like a better fit for Megan than her Carmen short (is it a repeat from last season? I think I remember this cover from the JGP). Stamina isn't there yet, but she has nice basics.

Woodley

3z-2a-1a and they looked around, some popping/uneasy landings, 3s-2t, 3s, there's some freedom in the way that she moves, could add more facial expression, pretty good overall

Kim, T.

3f-2t, 3r, definitely would like to see more speed, 3t fall, 3t fall again, 3f-2t, dramatic MITF, she looks bemused/sad at end

Yonemori

collapse on first 3, very nice extension in her movement, 3s (third jump) was first one landed cleanly, really impressive emoting for a junior, 1r-1a, 2a, nice final spin
